They say to SLOW DOWN.
They say kids grow up and we won’t get this time back.
But it’s not like the cooking, cleaning, driving just goes away.
It’s hard to see how to fit it in sometimes: running a home is a big job and it’s easy to get sucked into it.
So how do we do it?
I’ve always been a go go go person.
If there’s something to be done, it kinda drives me nuts if I don’t just do it. I can easily get sucked in.
But then I remind myself…
PEOPLE > my tasks
And I remind myself this by adding my PEOPLE to my TO DO list.
It’s such a simple task, but so purposeful.
Every day I look at my calendar/list/to do’s – I am reminded – to make time for my people.
No, the tasks don’t go away. We can add our people into our tasks, or sometimes we just need to get the dang thing done and move on. We can also pause and come back to it later. HOW you do it isn’t important – it’s that you MAKE the time however it works for you.
Add it to your to do list or calendar if that will help you. Treat your people like your most important task – because they are.
